SIDR HONEY

A monofloral, pure, organic honey that comes from the wild and uncultivated SIdr Trees that grow on arid land across Oman. Even though bees usually take thousands of trips to produce a pound of honey, the nectar of the Sidr is so potent that bees endure only a handful of trips, which makes this honey extremely rare. The Sidr Tree (also Lote tree, Christ’s Thorn, Jujube or Nabkh tree) is an ancient and sacred tree. The Jujube fruit was the first thing Prophet Adam ate when he descended to earth. The tree was used during the time of King Suleiman and the Pharaohs to build palaces and temples. The Sidr Tree is also mentioned four times in the Quran as an earth and paradise tree due to the admiration for its healing qualities. All parts of the tree are medicinal and are included in various pharmaceutical remedies.
